Core Group Network Overview
Below are 3 images that are helpful in explaining the networking architecture as seen from the view of a secondary network client, these views where originally part of a primary client tutorial and have been edited to remove the primary packet numbers, the underlying mechanisms are however clear to see in all cases.
I have only shown examples with 2 remote primaries for visual clarity but the actual number of number of remote primaries will be considerably more depending on the current size of the primary network, this would traditionally have been tens of thousand of nodes as a fairly basic "flooding" mechanism is used to pass the request/query packets to all primaries.
