How To Get BendMX Or RCMS To Work With The DLL Patch

The ws2_32.dll is a system file that is also used by BendMX and RCMS.  The name is just slightly different for each.  When you install BendMX or RCMS after you have installed the DLL Patch for WinMX, they will overwrite or replace the WinMX Patch, this causes your WinMX to loose its ability to connect to the New Peer Caches.  Below are instructions for installing both BendMX or RCMS with the ws2_32.DLL  Patch.
Note: These instructions are for adding BendMX or RCMS to an existing Install dll Patch, if you DONT have either simply install the BendMX or RCMS frist, then the Install Patch from Here.  The installer will not alter your BendMX or RCMS if its already installed.


Instructions for Installation With BendMX

You can get the latest version of BendMX from here:
BendMX 3.99a3 for WinMX v3.5x

Once you have downloaded and installed your BendMX, now its time to replace the Connection Patch.  You can get the Patch alone from here:
Patch Ws2_32.Dll Only



When you click on it to download the Patch, simply choose Save.



Then when you get his box to save it, be sure to find your C:\Program Files\WinMX.  Once the location is set correctly, simply type in the name of the file changing it ws2_32r.dll as shown above.

Once this is complete you may/should get a pop warning stating that there is already a file with this name in this folder.  It will ask you if you would like to overwrite or replace the file.  Click Ok or Yes.
Thats it your now ready to restart your WinMX and enjoy your BendMX.


Instructions for Installation With RCMS

You can get any version of RCMS from here:

Once you have downloaded and installed your RCMS, now its time to replace the Connection Patch.
You can get the Patch alone from here:
Patch  Ws2_32.Dll Only




When you click on it to download the Patch, simply choose Save.



Then when you get his box to save it, be sure to find your C:\Program Files\WinMX.  Once the location is set correctly, simply type in the name of the file changing it ws2_32o.dll as shown above.
